The Community Safety Statement is a public-facing document that represents an agreement between the Government and Victoria Police, highlighting achievements, outlining commitments and anticipating what communities can expect to see as a result of these investments.
Truth Agency was engaged by the Department of Justice and Community Safety (DJCS) to copyright the annual Community Safety Statement for 2019/20.
Truth Agency worked in-house at the DJCS connecting with a range of stakeholders including Victoria Police, the Department of Premier and Cabinet, the Minister for Police, internal stakeholders within the DJCS and external graphic designers to work on structure, relatable content and case studies that accurately highlight the impact of investment in Victorian communities.
As the central contact point for all stakeholders, Truth was able to triage information from all parties and distil it from policy-heavy content to a readable public-facing document with tangible outcomes and a framework for ongoing commitments. Truth Agency made itself available to work on this project after the agreed end date to allow for a delayed budget and shifts in policy priorities.
